A cat that systematically meows when it hears Netflix’s famous ‘Tu-dum’ is the delight of TikTok subscribers and the streaming platform.

Humans apparently aren’t the only ones who enjoy Netflix. On TikTok, an American filmed her cat, which systematically starts to meow when it hears the famous credits of the platform.

Quickly going viral, the video currently has 5.8 million views and more than 1.4 million likes. The cat in question, a British Shorthair who responds to the name of Sawyer, has become for Internet users “the Netflix cat”.

“Every time he sees or hears the famous ‘Tu-dum’, he has the same reaction. It’s quite unexpected, but too cute”, reacted his owner, Caroline Vein, questioned by Newsweek.

Guest at Netflix premises

Originally from Los Angeles, Caroline Vein explains that she realized this particularity in Sawyer as soon as she was adopted four months ago. “My roommate Sophia and I found her reaction hilarious, and we wanted to share it on the networks”, she specifies to Newsweek.

“We are surprised to have had so much feedback and reactions so soon after this video was posted,” adds the young woman.

Thanks to his funny reactions, Sawyer made the rounds of the Web until being spotted by Netflix, which invited the cat at the end of March to its American premises. For April 1, the platform also made its subscribers believe that it had replaced the famous ‘Tu-dum’ by Sawyer’s meow.
