MEXICO CITY (apro).- A surveillance camera captured the moment in which a taxi driver from Mexico City ran over a cyclist in the streets of the Pro-Hogar neighborhood, in the Azcapotzalco mayor’s office.
The accident occurred on June 2, however, the images were only released this week.
The video shows the taxi driver speeding through an intersection as a delivery van passes, not realizing that the cyclist, traveling in the opposite direction, was already right in front of him.
The cyclist was left on the hood of the taxi, without the driver slowing down. It circulated like this for a couple of meters, until the cyclist was thrown to the side and hit a hit-and-run vehicle.
The taxi driver fled the place while the cyclist rejoins, takes his bike and leaves the place.
Social media users identified the taxi with license plates A-54230.
