The action takes place in the small town of Ebbing in Missouri where Mildred Hayes accuses the police of not doing enough to find the killer. A both funny and moving story with wonderful performances by Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell, among others.

The Banshees of Inisherin

The Banshees of Inisherin is a 2022 tragicomic film set on a fictional island off the west coast of Ireland, about two lifelong friends who reach a dead end when one suddenly ends their relationship, with consequences for both.

Colm (Brendan Gleeson) suddenly decides one day that he no longer wants to be friends with Pádraic (Colin Farrell). Pádraic asks Colm to tell him what he did wrong, and Colm calmly replies that Pádraic did nothing wrong. The film is both funny and sad.
