The Government of Mexico City, through the Ministry of Works and Services (SOBSE) reported that maneuvering work will be carried out to place and rearrange a new pedestrian bridge located in Anillo Periférico corner Gral. José Morán, located in the Miguel Hidalgo mayor’s office, for which the authorities asked to take precautions for circulation.

The SOBSE reported that in order to avoid conglomerations on one of the roads most traveled by the residents of the capital, the corresponding works will be carried out at dawn. However, the agency reiterated taking optional avenues to avoid setbacks.

According to the statement by the capital’s government agency, this February 22, from eleven at night (11:00 p.m.) and until the forecast at 5 in the morning on February 23, the closure of the circulation of the central lanes of Anillo Periférico, corresponding to the section located in the Avenue of the Composers to General Cueto, that go in a north-south direction.

On the other hand, as of February 23, from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24, there will be traffic closures corresponding to the central lanes of Anillo Periférico that are located in the section of the Calle H until you reach Calzada Chivatito going south to north.

“Because of the above, it is suggested that citizens take precautions and use the sides of the Peripheral Ring or alternate routes for their car transfers. Once the work is completed, vehicular circulation will return to normal,” the agency reported on its information card.

According to the capital authorities, these works are intended to guarantee greater mobility and safety for people who travel daily through the area, since it is considered one of the fastest roads in the capital, and where a large number of traffic circulate. of vehicles, greater protection is sought for pedestrians.

It should be noted that these road closures are added to the closure of other parts of the Peripheral Ring for the reinforcement works of Metro line 12 in what corresponds to the section of Periférico Oriente and Avenida Tláhuac. This was reported by the CDMX Secretariat of Works and Services on December 26.

These measurements correspond to the direction that goes from south to north of the Tláhuac mayor’s office. As well as lanes of incorporation to Periférico were confined on Avenida Tláhuac and the CETRAM Peripheral East.

However, and despite the work on the reconstruction of the Metro section of Line 12, 2 lanes in a south-north direction, one lane in a north-south direction and the north-south lateral remain open.

Given the objections, the Ministry of Works and Services gave a list of alternative routes through which users can travel to avoid setbacks on their routes.

From south to north the routes are recommended:

Tlalpan viaduct, northbound

Axis 8 south, heading east

Axis 3 south, heading north

Chalco Canal, heading east for the inhabitants of Tláhuac and Xochimilco

Eje 10 Sur, with an alternative to joining the Chalco channel and Eje 3

From north to south, alternate routes are estimated as:

-Axis 6 south, heading east

– Axis 8 south, as an alternate route to the east or west

– Avenida San Francisco Tlatelolco, heading east
