It’s done, the Algeria A prime team is in the semi-finals of CHAN 2022 after their victory against the Ivory Coast team, 1-0.

Driven by an unprecedented fervor from the public of the Nelson Mandela stadium in Baraki, the men of the Algerian coach, Madjid Bougherra, confirmed on the ground by reaching the last four of the African Nations Championship.

Maltreated after only 20 minutes from the start of the match following the expulsion of the Algerian goalkeeper, Alexis Guendouz, the Greens A’ continued to push despite the numerical inferiority. The match was rebalanced afterwards after the other expulsion of the Ivorian player, Kouassi Attohouala.

Validating their ticket for the qualifying match for the CHAN 2022 final, the eyes of the Algerian players will be on the other quarter-final match between the Mauritanian team and the Senegalese team.

This match will determine the identity of the Greens’ next opponent since the winner will face the team of Algerian coach Madjid Bougherra. A match which will take place this evening from 8:00 p.m. on the lawn of the stadium of May 19, 1956 in Annaba.

With its 1-0 victory against the team from Côte d’Ivoire, the local Algerian team has a 4th success in a row following its clear round during the group stage.
