Changes to the Cuban passport enter into force

Starting this Saturday, Cuban passports will be valid for 10 years for those over 16.

As of today, no passport should be extended and the cost of issuing this document will be 180 dollars or euros for people over 16 years of age and 140 dollars for minors.

The extension of uninterrupted stay abroad beyond 24 months, automatic and free of charge, implemented in March 2020 due to the pandemic, also remains in effect.

Cubans visiting or residing abroad can travel to Cuba with an expired passport, until further notice.
