Charges against woman who would have seized 23 pounds of marijuana wrapped in gift paper

Judge Gloria De Jesús found cause for the arrest of 28-year-old Yaniliz Rivera Alicea on Wednesday, who allegedly seized 23 pounds of marijuana wrapped in gift paper, in Dorado.

The arrest was carried out in the Martorell urbanization, after a search warrant in which a black Jeep Compass and a cell phone were also seized.

Rivera Alicea was charged with violations of the Controlled Substances Act with a bond of $80,000.

The bail was provided by a private guarantor, so he will be released until the day of the bail.
