CNH monitors three systems with probability of development

The National Hurricane Center (CNH) is monitoring three systems with cyclonic probability in the coming days.

System #3 has a 10% chance of development in the next 48 hours and a 30% chance of development in seven days.

The most recent CNH bulletin indicates that “slow development” of this system is possible over the weekend into early next week, moving west-northwest at 10-15 mph across the Lesser Antilles to the northeast of the Caribbean Sea.

On the other hand, disturbance #2 has 40% development in 48 hours and 40% in seven days.

“Environmental conditions are only marginally conducive for further development of this system, but a tropical depression could still form during the day as it moves west-northwestward at a speed of 10 to 15 mph across the central tropical Atlantic. A Thereafter, upper-level winds are expected to become unfavorable for any further development.” states the agency.

Meanwhile, disturbance #1 – which could become a tropical depression this weekend – has 60% development in 48 hours and 70% in seven days.

“Environmental conditions appear generally favorable for further development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to form over the weekend as it moves west-northwest or northwest at about 10 mph across the eastern tropical Atlantic. By early next week, upper level winds over the system are forecast to increase and no further development is expected.”explained the CNH.
