com:bau started on Friday morning in the Dornbirn trade fair district. VOL.AT asked around what attracts home builders and co. to the fair.
“Schaffa, schaffa, Hüsle baua” has always been the motto in the Ländle. The saying is still associated with Vorarlberg today. com:bau is the ultimate meeting point for home builders and anyone who wants to become one.
Everything to do with building
The trade fair started on February 24 in Dornbirn under the motto “bautark”. Until the 26th, exhibitors and experts will be presenting themselves in eight subject areas relating to building and future-proof solutions for the home. The 10th edition of the trade fair focuses on energy, construction, renovation and real estate. The two special exhibitions “Lehm & Holz” and “Bauwende! Now.” should not be missed by visitors.
Homeowners in conversation
What draws Vorarlbergers to com:bau and which topics are they particularly interested in when it comes to building? VOL.AT asked around at the fair. Bertram from Dornbirn primarily wants to find out about the various gas alternatives for heating and the subject of bathroom renovation. “I renovated it 40 years ago,” he explains to VOL.AT. Now he wants to risk the project again.
Novelties and Covering
He wants to “see what’s new,” says Franz from Koblach. He is particularly interested in the energy sector and the area of sustainability. He is currently not renovating or renovating. “I’m basically interested in these topics,” he says. Malvina and Simona from Koblach have already built a house. Now they want to look at the roofing for the terrace. The couple is also interested in innovations. “Maybe prefabricated systems that you can make yourself, so you save a little money,” says Malvina to VOL.AT. Everything has become more expensive, so they want to look and compare.
Renovation and career information
When he retires, he is considering renovating the house, explains Peter from Feldkirch. The com:bau is an ideal place to get information. “The topic at the moment is definitely climate, heating et cetera, thermal insulation,” he says. Marcel from Riefensberg attends the state vocational school in Bregenz and is doing an apprenticeship as an electrician. He is therefore particularly interested in the topic of electronics, but also photovoltaics and heat pumps. “You can see what interesting things there are here,” says the man from Bregenzerwald.
