It’s Christmas time – also on the dance floor of “Let’s Dance”.

For the big Christmas show, twelve celebrities unpacked their patent leather shoes again on Saturday evening and tried to convince the judges Motsi Mabuse (41), Jorge González (55) and Joachim Llambi (58) of their dance performances. The winner received 10,000 euros for a good cause, and at the end of the show the viewers were able to decide who would be named the “Christmas Dancing Star”.

RTL reveals the secret of the show

But the beginning of the show irritated the viewers. Joachim Llambi danced carefree to welcome him into the studio – although he recently broke three ribs in a bad fall on “Schlag den Star”.

How was that possible? The injury was not discussed on the show – RTL only later clarified the confused viewers. Unlike the previous editions of “Let’s Dance”, the Christmas show was not broadcast live, but was recorded more than half a year ago. Mr. Llambi was doing well there.

A live voting by the viewers should still take place that evening. RTL had found a solution for this as well, albeit a complicated one: the right ending, including the celebration of the winner, had been pre-produced for every possible result. Laborious!

Llambi in a blasphemous mood

This caused a lack of understanding among the spectators, but the dancing couples were all the more enthusiastic! Presenter Janin Ullmann (41) and dance professional Zsolt Sándor Cseke (34) cleared a full 30 points with a rumba to “Merry Christmas Darling”. Llambi let himself be carried away by a rare hymn of praise: “It was great cinema!”

The juror was less enthusiastic about moderator Daniel Hartwich (44). “You can help me out. I always do a nativity play in my garden at Christmas,” Llambi shot. “And unfortunately the donkey fell over last week. I need a replacement. Would you have time?”

However, the moderator had a counterattack ready and etched back: “As far as the hair color is concerned, they are definitely more donkeys than me.” Llambi promptly looked for the next victim and now suggested his co-juror as an animal double: “Although … Jorge with his tail at the back would be another alternative. In case something else happens to the cow.”

No screamer, but a nice attempt by the extremely critical juror. Author Bastian Bielendorfer (38) caused more laughs. He performed as “Grinch” and danced with Ekaterina Leonova (35) out of competition.

Rúrik and Malika win the Christmas show

When Jive from heartthrob and ex-soccer player Rúrik Gíslason (34) to “Incredible Christmas”, Motsi Mabuse stretched the tenth trowel again: “I love it!” Joachim Llambi would have liked to have distributed eleven points and cheered: “What a great guy! ”

The viewers saw it the same way. At the end of the evening, Rúrik Gislason and dance partner Malika Dzumaev (31) were happy about the title of “Christmas Dancing Star”.
