Bancada de Alianza Para el Progreso will give a vote of confidence to the cabinet of Alberto Otárola.

On the last Tuesday, January 3, the bench of Alliance for Progress (APP) announced that they will grant the confidence vote to the Ministerial Cabinet of Alberto Otárola. The decision of the political group was affirmed after a meeting with the premier.

Alejandro Soto, spokesperson for the congressional group, indicated that during the conversation with the president of the Council of Ministers they asked for “sincerity because it is a transitional government and therefore I see that the proposal that should be launched in the country (confidence vote) has to be the clearest, most concrete and possible. The country cannot continue allowing those decentralized councils where gold and Moor were offered, and to date the interior of the country has not received anything”.

Eduardo Salhuanasecond spokesperson for APP, also explained that Otárola was presented with “serious alternatives so that an objective view can be given in favor of the country.”

“We have given suggestions in general so that this government conducts itself with less bureaucracy and budgets are executed than last year, in 2022, more than 123 billion soles have stopped investing due to the ineffectiveness of the ministries… APP seeks stability and always with a critical look we are going to grant the vote of confidence accordingly”, mentioned Salhuana.

After this, Alberto Otárola He also held a meeting with the members of the Avanza País bench, who upon leaving expressed that their decision is still not clear, so the members of the political group will meet in order to establish their position.

Regarding the conversation held with the premier, Tudela said that “the premier has stated that he has quite specific agenda items in economic matters that, we believe, should be a priority, because, ultimately, if the economy does not work, Peruvians do not have a job and They don’t have anything to eat, and that should be a priority.”
