Innovation motor private health insurance – sales success in individual and collective business: This year’s Continentale KV roadshow for brokers took place under this heading in six cities at the same time. Prof. Dr. Christoph M. Schmidt, President of the RWI Leibniz Institute for Economic Research, Dr. Helmut Hofmeier, Head of Health at Continentale Versicherung, and other experts from various departments of the host discussed current PKV topics live on site and via video link. Among other things, it was about the future of the health care system, private health insurance in transition and the strategy of Continentale Krankenversicherung. In addition, around 250 guests received exclusive product insights and helpful sales tips. At dinner together, the participants deepened the topics of the day. The Continentale had invited to the KV roadshow in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Mannheim, Munich and Stuttgart.
Many opportunities for sales success
dr Hofmeier showed what potential private health insurance currently offers to intermediaries and how Continentale is positioning itself in the current market environment. “The attractiveness of private health insurance is unbroken. Determine risk premiums more differentiated
The Continentale board showed, among other things, that financing in private health insurance is more sustainable due to various components. In addition, private health insurance customers benefit more quickly from medical progress. “The Continentale is one of the pioneers here – and not just in terms of performance,” emphasized Dr. Hofmeier. Based on current studies, the company has changed its acceptance and testing policy, i.e. the handling of risk premiums. The Continentale now also takes into account the severity of selected pre-existing conditions. These include, for example, hay fever or an underactive thyroid. The responsible experts from Continentale explained the details to the local brokers. “The market is accepting that wonderfully,” says Dr. Hofmeier.
