The same verdict was pronounced in favor of the former director of taxes “AA”, as well as members of the commission of the approval commission and a notary.
During the indictment, the public prosecutor had requested a 5-year prison sentence, together with a fine of one million dinars against the defendants. The defendants were prosecuted for the offenses of abuse of authority, influence of state agents, and abuse of power. The Oulmi brothers were prosecuted for having concealed the true value of land which was bought by the Sovac company in Ouled Hadadj in the wilaya of Boumerdes, with an area of approximately 1000 square meters.
The Court of Algiers annuls the sentence in force against Melzi
Also this Sunday, the criminal chamber at the Court of Algiers decided to cancel the 3-year prison sentence in force, to which the former director of the state residence, Abdelhamid Melzi, had been sentenced last December. by the criminal court of Dar El Beida in Algiers.
The same jurisdiction also pronounced the proceedings null and void against Abdelhamid Melzi, who was accused of an offense of importing goods with inflated invoices with the aim of transferring funds abroad in his capacity as representative and Chairman and CEO of the EGT-Sahel Tourism Management Company.

On the other hand, the criminal chamber of the Court of Algiers, in the same case, condemned the public limited company of hotel investment to the payment of a fine estimated at 645 million dinars.
As for the civil action, the same authority declared inadmissible the constitution of the Public Treasury as a civil party.
