Los Angeles (USA), May 11 (EFE).- Country music singer Jimmie Allen and his former management company were sued for assault and sexual abuse by his former manager.
According to information from the specialized media Variety, the plaintiff, who did not want to mention her name, listed various occasions in which Allen, 37, raped her and subjected her to sexual abuse in a period of 18 months when she worked in the team of representation of the singer
The young woman told the outlet that while they were traveling on a plane, Allen allegedly touched her chest without her consent, pushed his erect penis against her body in public, and masturbated in front of her at a hotel where they were both staying.
She also said that while they were traveling in a car, the interpreter of “This Is Us” forced his fingers into her vagina, while she tried to defend herself.
The woman alleges that on another work trip, after dinner, she woke up with severe pain and vaginal bleeding without remembering anything that had happened the night before and with the singer lying next to her.
She described how Allen insisted that she take emergency contraception and then realized that the interpreter had betrayed her trust and that she had inadvertently lost her virginity.
“I was disconnected from my body, feeling a sense of panic,” she told the outlet.
Allen denied the accusations in a statement and assured that the link he had with the woman was consensual.
“I admit that we had a sexual relationship that lasted almost two years. During that time she never accused me of anything wrong, and she spoke of our relationship and friendship as something she wanted to continue indefinitely,” she noted.
He also announced that he would take all necessary legal measures to face the accusations.
Following the announcement of the lawsuit, the singer was suspended from his BBR Music Group label Stoney Creek Records and was removed from the lineup at this year’s CMA Fest country music festival.
