The Tesla Model 3 owners “Danny” faced an extreme tantrum from another road user while driving on a freeway. A video on the Youtube channel Wham Baam Teslacam was released shows him with a baseball bat was attacked.
The incident happened as Danny approached a truck that was traveling in the fast lane at around 80 km/h. In order to overtake him, the Tesla owner changed lanes. Before he got back into fast lane, he passed one too Honda Fit. This should have accelerated immediately, as can be seen on the Tesla dashcam video. According to Danny, it must have annoyed the Honda driver to be passed by others.
Honda brakes in front of Tesla
At first the Honda driver was no longer to be seen, a short time later he caught up with the Tesla and slammed on the brakes several times in front of him. At one point he braked so hard that both vehicles almost came to a standstill.
After a while, as the Honda slowly moved away, Danny wanted to switch back to the left lane. When he was back next to the Honda, the driver threw a baseball bat through his rolled-down window at the Tesla. Although the windshield was intact, the car was damaged.
No aggression shown
With the Honda driver still chasing him, the Tesla owner rushed to the nearest police station and showed officers the Teslacam footage used as evidence. Tesla cost $600 to repair reports Teslarati. Danny states that he showed no aggression towards the Honda driver. He neither honked nor made any gestures.
