In Creed 3, Adonis Creed (Michael B. Leading actor Michael B. Jordan follows in the footsteps of Rocky actor Sylvester Stallone for Creed 3. In addition to his role as Adonis Creed, the 36-year-old is also directing the film, just like Stallone did in several parts of the series. In the clip above, the multi-talent talks to his co-star Majors (currently also in cinemas in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania) about the relationship between their characters.
Unlike its predecessors Creed and Creed 2, Stallone himself will no longer be seen as Rocky Balboa. While the cult figure’s story came to a fitting conclusion in Part 2, the narrative isn’t the reason for the star’s absence. Due to a dispute with Creed producer Irwin Winkler over the rights to the Rocky franchise, Stallone refuses to return to his starring role while Winkler has any involvement in the film. So fans shouldn’t expect the “Italian Stallion” to appear in Creed 3.
On the other hand, there is a reunion with Tessa Thompson (plays Creed’s girlfriend Bianca), Wood Harris (Little Duke), Phylicia Rashād (Mary Anne Creed) and Florian Munteanu (Viktor Drago). Creed 3 will be released in German cinemas on March 2, 2023. Like its predecessors, the film is approved for ages 12 and up.
