Late Thursday afternoon, unknown perpetrators in the Kleinmachnow community tried to break into a bank branch during opening hours. The police announced on Friday in Potsdam. The thieves gained access to an apartment building in order to force open a side door of the branch located in the building. “The perpetrators raised an alarm and fled the scene in an unknown direction,” the police said.
Witnesses spoke of a car driving away at high speed. “Numerous police officers were involved in the immediately initiated search measures, including those from neighboring Berlin,” it said. A tracking dog was also used.
