Crime in the Larzac: where was the police TV movie shot?

Fans of regional thrillers wouldn’t miss this event for anything in the world. Every Saturday, France 3 offers an issue from its Crime à… collection, which unites viewers and ensures good audiences for the channel. Last Saturday again, they were 4.8 million faithful (24% of the public) in front of the unpublished police television film Crime in Ramatuelle. This week, make way for a replay with Crime in the Larzac.

Shooting in Aveyron

Florence Pernell, Guillaume Cramoisan and Lola Dewaere who is in a relationship, alias Deputy Prosecutor Elisabeth Richard, Captain Charles Jouanic and Lieutenant Caroline Martinez, who had already joined forces in Crime in the Luberonand Crime in the Hérault, come back to investigate Crime in the Larzac. All three therefore land in Saint-Affrique, a pretty city in Aveyron, to find the culprit of the assassination of Pierre Loiseau, a large local breeder. On the suspect side, they are spoiled for choice, between the victim’s girlfriend, played by Constance Labbé, the new heroine of Balthazar, his ex-wife, or a rugby player with whom Pierre Loiseau had had a big dispute. . A classic investigation that allows you to (re)discover the magnificent landscapes of South Aveyron and the Larzac plateau, in the south-east of France, where beautiful preserved villages like Saint-Affrique are nestled.

Crime in the Larzac was indeed filmed on the famous plateau, and in particular in this vast Aveyron town, which extends into the valley carved out by the Sorgues river. Over the investigations of the prosecutor, who will let herself be charmed by a local councilor camped by Bernard Yerlès, we can see the pretty alleys and the medieval houses of the city, and the grandiose panoramas of the hills which overlook it. The interrogation scenes were boxed in the premises of the Le Quai social center, revamped for the occasion as a gendarmerie.
