Crysis 4 is in the list of the most anticipated games on the FPS side. However, we will have to take our troubles patiently as we can discover today.
We have had the right to rumors about the continuation of the saga for years Crysis. Especially since the Cryrek studio is not idle with the passage of time, especially after an excellent cooperative game called Hunt Showdown in February 2018. Since Crysis original which still dates from 2007, the German studio has released several other titles including: Crysis Warhead in 2008, Crysis 2 in 2011 then finally Crysis 3 in 2013, the latest episode to date. In January 2022, somewhat to everyone’s surprise, we had even been able to learn the start-up and the development of a fourth episode. Problem, it’s not for now, far from it.
Crysis 4: when is the game coming out?
You may not like the answer to this question. Because it is clearly not for now. Indeed, we have just learned via job search announcements that the development is in its very beginning. Indeed, Crytek released the following job posting video (see below):
The team is currently looking for a Lead Producer, a Lead AI Programmer and a Lead Environment Artist to Crysis 4. This very clearly means that the game is still at a very early stage of development, it is even very likely that it is in the very beginning of pre-production. The stage which precedes the development itself. Even being optimized, there is little chance of imagining being able to touch the game before 2026 at the very least.
What is Crysis 4?
For the moment we know absolutely nothing about this episode. Is this a reboot of the series? A direct sequel to episode 3? It’s all the more difficult to say that the announcement video you can see above only mentions the name Crysis only. What fans hope, however, is that this new episode, like the others, will be a real graphic and technical slap. Because for the record, the 2007 ultra game was inaccessible for the majority of PCs for many years. Even today modders still manage to impress with the game engine. More than a slap, it was a real revolution for the video game and its technique.
