Chicago (USA), Apr 30 (EFE).- Steph Curry, leader of the Golden State Warriors, assured this Sunday that the Los Angeles Lakers, his team’s rivals in the Western Conference semifinals, “are a rival completely different” from the Sacramento Kings, whom he eliminated in Game 7 of the series with a legendary 50-point performance.

“The Lakers are completely different, we know LeBron (James) very well. They are playing well, we have home court advantage and we have to take advantage of it,” Curry said at a press conference after the Sacramento game.

“We have to get ready in the next 48 hours, even for those who haven’t played much in this series, we all have to be ready,” he added.

He also expressed his enthusiasm for living a new chapter of a duel with LeBron James, with whom he has been the protagonist of a vibrant rivalry between the Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“It’s fantastic, you’re still in the fight. We were down 0-2 in this series and you don’t take anything for granted. (We measure ourselves) since the 2014-2015 season, with the Cavaliers, we are blessed to continue playing at this level. We are two teams that are looking for the title”, he stated.

Curry achieved the best performance ever in a seventh game of the ‘playoffs’, destroying the Kings with fifty points.

“It was a great series, lasting from the first game to the seventh. We knew that after losing the sixth game they would continue with the same plan. We wanted to keep the game at the pace we like, ”he considered.

“You always have the memories of how you feel in these environments. You’re always nervous, because it counts a lot, but we love these environments. In the end it’s basketball. When you have clear ideas, good things usually happen ”, he concluded.
