While work continues on the new version of the HD Reworked mod of The Witcher 3, the independent developer HalkHogan confirms that he is also working on a similar fan-made expansion for Cyberpunk 2077.

Not too dissimilar from the work done by HalkHogan on the amateur expansion chosen by CD Projekt among the many mods integrated into The Witcher 3 Next Gen, Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project promises to make it even more immersive and realistic the graphic sector of the sci-fi RPG.

Also in this case, in fact, the modder has exploited a Neural AI to increase the quality, sharpness and resolution of the textures of the most recurring architectural and natural elements of Night City, while maintaining the artistic style and original vision of the developers of CD Projekt.

The comparison video made by the modder shows us the undoubted benefits guaranteed by the use of the most modern software for graphic processing andupscaling based on Neural AI: from the roughness of the asphalt to the signs that adorn the urban landscape of Night City, every single surface ‘treated in HD’ by HalkHogan is enhanced by the adoption of textures with such a high level of definition and detail.

The works onHD Reworked fan made expansion of Cyberpunk 2077, however, have just started and presumably will continue for a few more months. While we wait to know the launch date of this important mod, we leave you with our insight into the PS5 version of Cyberpunk 2077 with Patch 1.5.
