After his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the most massive presence within She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Daredevil is one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe characters most watched by fans of the franchise. After his previous serial declination ended badly, with the closure of the series born during the period of collaboration between Marvel and Netflix, the fate of the Guardian Devil seemed sealed, but the return of Charlie Cox first as Matt Murdock and then of his superheroic alter ego has rekindled the enthusiasm of fans of Marvel’s superheroic world. The announcement of the series dedicated to the blind superhero of Hell’s Kitchen, Daredevil: Born Again, was welcomed with particular happiness by Cornetto fans, mindful of how this title recalls one of the character’s most loved comic runs. Giving further appeal to this future Marvel Studios production is Charlie Cox’s confirmation that the legal element will be fundamental for Daredevil: Born Again diversifying it from Dare devil of Netflix.

Charlie Cox reveals a detail why Daredevil: Born Again will be different from the Netflix series

To date, Daredevil’s few appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have seen him as a lawyer only in the brief passage in Spider-Man: No Way Home and during his first appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, where he proved to be a worthy match for Jennifer Walters. Talking with GQCharlie Cox confessed to hoping for as much time as possible in the role of a lawyer in the future series:

I think also because of the number of episodes we’ve been working on, there will be a definite influence of courtroom issues, with a Matt Murdock lawyer during the new series. This is why I focused a lot on researching the character and his life in this area. It was an area we hadn’t paid particular attention to previously.

By his own admission, Cox did not delve into Daredevil’s lawyer aspect, which even during the Netflix-era series had not been properly valued.

With the ability to tell a complex narrative arc through Daredevil: Born Againa series which to date is presented as the longest of Marvel Studios’ serial productions, Cox therefore had to go beyond this limit:

At the moment, I’ve only cameoed in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, which were completely different in tone from what I’ve done before. So now he’s going through a process of preparing for next year, when we start shooting the series: I’ve started reading the comics again from cover to cover, and I’m starting to get back in shape for that type of role.

An encouraging announcement, but which is followed by the confession that Cox does not yet know what the precise schedule for working on will be Daredevil: Born Again:

I still don’t have a precise date for the start of filming, but I think it will be the first quarter of the year, I could guess between February and March.
