During the Nintendo Direct held today Wednesday June 21, Nintendo officially announced that the collection of games, the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1it will be available for the console switches. This collection of games, developed by Konami, brings together the first three titles of the acclaimed series Metal Gear Solidgiving enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy them on more modern platforms.
Previously, the Japanese developer had only confirmed the release of the package for the platforms. Xbox, PlayStation and PC. However, with this announcement, it has been revealed that the games will debut on the Switch console on October 24 of this same year (so on the other platforms it will surely arrive on the same date). Furthermore, Konami has reconfirmed that the first two MSX Metal Gear are present in the bundle.
This launch marks a milestone, as it is the first time that the franchise has been presented on a Nintendo console since the days of the GameCube. Back then, the old console received a remake of the first Metal Gear Solid, while an exclusive version for Game Boy Color was also released.
More Metal Gear games to be re-released
Although Konami has yet to confirm what the future holds for the series, the expectation is that at least one more collection of the Metal Gear game series will be released in the coming years. Although it has not received a new chapter in a considerable time, games like Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid 4 they continue to have a large fan base.
Along with Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection, the japanese developer is already working on a remake of the third episode from the series. Created in partnership with Virtuos, the project promises to keep several elements from the past, including its voice work, while bringing updated graphics and refined gameplay.
