MEXICO CITY (appro).– In the first months of 2024, the specialized team that works in the Pasta de Conchos mine will reach the point where the workers were trapped in the 2006 landslide; while those of “El Pinabete” will arrive in August of the same year, said President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
“We are moving forward, nothing more than it is very complex. A company was contracted, it failed, we had to look for another one that is working well, according to what I am informed, and we are thinking that we will arrive at the site in the first months of next year”, he assured.
For the rescue of the 10 miners who remained in “El Pinabete”, due to a flood in August 2022, “a lot of progress is also being made, and we hope that, in August, before August, we will already reach the galleries where we think they are.” the miners”.
In the case of Pasta de Conchos, the state and federal authorities, as well as Grupo México, agreed that “’there are no conditions’, and they did not serve the people. We have already helped all the relatives, everyone, they received their compensation, that is justice and that comes from a long time ago, and we also promised to rescue the miners and we are doing it”, said the federal president.
He added that this type of action in his government is to “repair damage, right wrongs, finish unfinished works.”
