It’s no longer a surprise, Warner wants to have his own MCU and for that it takes time. But how much exactly?

Competing with Disney’s MCU is no small feat and that’s why DC Studios has appointed James Gunn and Peter Safran to lead it. To achieve such a feat in addition to large finances, it will obviously take a lot of time. History not only to establish a coherent overall scenario, to have a complete cast for the main characters and… to convince the spectators. For this reason Warner is gradually removing all traces of the SnyderVerse, as we explain to you in this news.

DC Studios talks about temporality

But how long exactly will it take to create the DCU? In response to a fan on Twitter questioning the legitimacy of Variety’s recent report regarding Warner Bros. Potentially keeping Ezra Miller as The Flash, Gunn preferred to talk about the size of the roadmap instead:

Instead of the three years of projects directly mentioned by Variety, Gunn clarified that “list is 8-10 years:”

I don’t know what’s about Ezra, but our roster is 8-10 (but we’ll only be announcing some of them this month).

The quote above also confirmed that the highly anticipated announcements will take place in January. By way of comparison, in 10 years Disney has been able to establish its MCU very largely and has been able to introduce many characters: Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man, Avengers, Doctor Strange and Black Panther. If Warner does things well, there is therefore plenty to do to effectively establish a very complete DCU with the main superheroes. We can imagine Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Justice League and why not Teen Titans.

On your side, what do you imagine for the DCU over a period of 10 years?
