Three days will have been enough to exceed the symbolic bar of one million (including pre-orders). To celebrate this good result, parent company Plaion shares some fun numbers around the game:
- 11 million hours played in total.
- 28 million player deaths in total (twice as many as the population of Los Angeles).
- 45 million zombies sliced in half.
- 756 million dismemberments.
- 1.1 billion zombies slaughtered.
Rififi in Los Angeles
As a reminder, Dead Island 2 takes the franchise to new horizons, more specifically the streets and villas of Los Angeles. Six playable characters smash zombies in mass quantities with guns, katanas, baseball bats, or any other weapon you can build from the loot picked up on the spot. The experience is willingly crossed in co-op.
The story will soon continue through the pass d’extension, which will include two additional chapters and their share of new enemies, locations, weapons and skills. No specific date has yet been confirmed for these DLCs.
