The Dead Space remake is said to be so scary that even the developers have their problems playing it. The game unfolds its eerie charm especially at night.

Why play horror games at night too? Alone?

In an interview by PLAY magazine, the gamesradar Quoted in their article, Dead Space Remake’s technical director David Robillard said he has a hard time playing the game at night because it’s just “too damn creepy”.

Robillard admitted, “If I play it at night, I can’t play it with headphones. It’s just too scary. Just the level of realism and, again, the atmosphere. Not just visually, right? The way, like we deal with sound, atmosphere and effects, the systems that try to scare you.”

This level of horror could not have been reached on the PlayStation 4, Robillard continues. “And they really add a lot to that genre and make the whole type of experience even more of a unit.”

Aside from all the horror that fans can expect in the remake, there’s most likely an alternative ending as well.

Can you just unpack a horror game at night and then swing to bed with peace of mind? Or do you need someone during the day to hold your hand while playing?
