NEW YORK — The death of a 2-month-old baby from New Jersey who was found dead in early March inside a Staten Island residence is now ruled a homicide, New York City Police announced Friday.

The newborn was found unconscious inside the property located in 15 Arden Avenue on March 8 at about noon, the Police said. This after officers responded to an emergency call.

Upon arrival, the uniformed officers found the 2-month-old boy, identified as Paulie Khan, unconscious and without obvious signs of trauma. The little boy was transported to the hospital. Staten Island University South Hospitalwhere he was declared dead.

However, three months later, the medical examiner ruled it a homicide.

So far no arrests.

It is unknown why the baby, who is from Barnegat, New Jersey, was on Staten Island. Neither have details been released about who or who resided at the place of discovery.

No further details were released and the case remains under investigation.
