A few days after the end of the ordinary period of sessions in the 65th Legislaturethe Chamber of Deputies will vote on at least five initiatives that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador confirmed, the coordinator of Morena in the lower house, Ignacio Mier.
He is also president of the Political Coordination Board (jucopo), indicated that the deputies get ready to meet all week as a way of facilitating the legislative work in the Senate of the Republic.
The Morenista explained that during the four days of sessions the reforms to disappear the National Financing Agency for Agricultural, Rural, Forestry and Fisheries Development (FNDA) will be analyzed and voted in plenary, in addition to the issuance of the Law on Humanities, Science, Technology and Innovation (LHCTI).
Also on the agenda this week is the reform of the Tourism Law to establish that lodging taxes go to the construction of the mayan train and a modification to the Constitution regarding the free expression of foreigners.
Meanwhile, this Monday, the deputies will vote on the reform to classify the crime of diversion or illegal importation of chemical precursorsas well as sanction the illegal logging.
Deputy Ignacio Mier also recognized that the reform that seeks to limit the powers of the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judiciary (TEPJF), will no longer be discussed during this period.
“Initiatives were left in anticipation, tomorrow we are going to continue with the opinions that the different commissions are currently in session.
“Among others, there is administrative simplification, very important to us; the General Science and Technology Law, which the Commission meets tomorrow; the Finance Commission meets to approve the opinion with the majority of Morena and they will surely accompany us, I hope, other political parties to migrate again from the Treasury to the Public Function the holders of the administrative units, which originally in the Public Administration Law were located in the Secretariat of Public Function”, detailed the legislator.
