DeSantis attacks Trump for avoiding debates, is it an example of cowardice?

MIAMI.- Politics is on fire. On the one hand, Governor Ron DeSantis and the former ambassador Nikki Haley They maintain a growing controversy in the face of second place in favorability in the polls. But now DeSantis attacks former President Donald Trumpwhom he calls a coward, and this could lead to another interesting verbal dispute between the Republican candidates.

DeSantis accused Trump of “cowardice” for refusing to participate in the Republican presidential primary debates, arguing that polls favor him by a wide margin over his closest rivals. In fact, The former president has not attended any of the four debates in 2023.

The Florida governor’s criticism was published on his old Twitter account.

“Trump denigrates military service by claiming that it is ‘braver’ to have debated Hillary Clinton than what soldiers endure on the battlefield. Debating is not ‘brave’; It’s the minimum any candidate should do. Hiding from debates, on the other hand, is an example of cowardice“, wrote.

The comment about Clinton refers to the debate between the Democratic leader and Trump in 2016, when both were running for president, despite the fact that a recording had recently been made public in which Trump allegedly made vulgar comments about women.

Likewise, DeSantis was reacting to a comment by Trump made on Saturday in which he mentioned a general who praised his attitude in debating Clinton after the recording became known.

DeSantis vs. Trump
