About a month ago, the Ministries of the Interior and of Tourism and Sports of the Nation reported the schedule of holidays for this new year, where there will be a total of 19 holidays: 14 will be fixed, two will be portable and three will be tourist.

Among the immovable holidays is today, January 1 (New Year), although on the horizon appears February 20 and 21 (carnival holidays), March 24 (National Day of Memory for Truth and Justice ), on April 2 (Veteran’s Day and those of the Fallen in the Malvinas War).

They also include April 7 (Good Friday), May 1 (Worker’s Day), May 25 (May Revolution Day), June 17 (Step to Immortality of General Don Martín Miguel de Güemes), on June 20 (Step to the Immortality of General Manuel Belgrano), on July 9 (Independence Day), on November 20 (National Sovereignty Day), on December 8 (Day of the Immaculate Conception of Mary) and December 25 (Christmas).

Among the transferable holidays are August 17 (Step to the Immortality of General José de San Martín) which will be held on Monday August 21; and on October 12 (Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity) to be celebrated on Monday, October 16.

As for holidays for tourism purposes, they are Friday, May 26 (bridge with the holiday of Thursday, May 25, May Revolution Day), Monday, June 19 (bridge with the holiday of Tuesday, June 20, Passage to the Immortality of General Manuel Belgrano) and Friday, October 13 (long weekend, four days, by transfer from Thursday, October 12 -Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity- to Monday, October 16.

Thus, 2023 will have four extra-long weekends, of four days each: from Saturday, February 18 to Tuesday, February 21; from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 May; from Saturday June 17 to Tuesday June 20; and from Friday, October 13 to Monday, October 16 -, which will contribute to boosting the growth of tourist activity, indicated the official communication.
