One night before the national drill… again. On the night of this April 18, at exactly 10:55 p.m., an earthquake of magnitude 5.1 was recorded.

According to the National Seismological, the epicenter was located 32 kilometers southeast of Petatlan, in the state of Guerrero, with a depth of 16 kilometers.

Unlike past earthquakes, in several areas of Mexico City it was felt strongly although several speakers did not sound.

Earthquake in Guerrero shakes Mexico City

Through its Twitter account, the SASMEX Seismic Alert reported that the earthquake detected tonight did not warrant the activation of the seismic alert because the energy estimate in the first seconds did not exceed the pre-established levels.
