On Instagram, DSDS juror Dieter Bohlen said he had to clarify what a great success he had. Helene Fischer didn’t get away so well.

Tötensen – Dieter Bohlen will be on tour again in 2023 and modestly calls his stage return in Germany “The greatest comeback of all time”. However, since the halls are not quite sold out yet, the “Pop-Titan” felt called to make an Instagram statement – and teased Helene Fischer.

Not successful internationally: Dieter Bohlen compares himself to Helene Fischer

Specifically, Bohlen celebrated himself for his great international success. He is particularly popular in China and South America and occasionally has to perform there as well. The 69-year-old, who recently messed with Katja Krasavice, made it clear that the 2023 tour was “not the end”, but that he wanted to play “more concerts abroad” due to various “number ones” in other countries.

To underline his “insane success”, as he says himself, he compared himself to Helene Fischer. Although she is a “mega-star in Germany” with two million monthly listeners, her audience mostly comes from abroad. “Only with Modern Talking do I have 5.3 million listeners and with the other titles that I’ve made with other acts, there are millions more listeners.”

How many number one albums does Modern Talking have?

Out of twelve studio albums, six landed at the top of the German charts. All twelve albums made it into the top 10. In addition, three records stormed number one in the charts in Austria and two in Switzerland.

Dieter Bohlen: Ticket sales from the Germany tour are stagnating

The comparison with the German Schlager star is probably related to the justification for the lack of sales from Bohlen’s tour. There are still a few tickets available for all performances in Germany, while the tickets for Helene Fischer’s “Rausch” tour with 70 concerts are much more popular. For Bohlen, the fact that things are not going so well in Germany is “part of a career”.

Whether internationally successful or not – Helene Fischer will not care about Bohlen’s words. According to Touring Data, she is one of six women who will gross over $100 million from live performances in 2023. This puts her in line with Beyoncé, Blackpink, Madonna, Pink and Taylor Swift. The fans even referred to the 38-year-old and her friend Thomas Seitel as “German royals”. Sources used: Instagram.com, twitter.com/@touringdata
