With Netflix you can not only search through one series after the other and have more films to choose from in the evening than in a video store. No, you can now also use the service to play games. And they’re not even that bad.
Google, Apple, Amazon – they are all already giants. And yet they want a piece of the gaming pie, which has become increasingly palatable in recent years. None of them has really made the extreme breakthrough yet. Netflix is also happily joining in and is still swimming under the radar.

In this management game you have to build and improve your boat, grow food and converse with the deceased. The game was released in 2020 and has extremely positive reviews across all platforms.
The indie game Oxenfree, which you can also download via Netflix with an active subscription and play on your smartphone, is also very popular. Oxenfree offers a supernatural, adventurous and emotional journey of five friends in which you have to make many decisions. Dialogue plays the main role here – whether with your friends or the spirits of the island.

A recommended original title that few people know about is Terra Nile, a game in which you transform a barren wasteland into an ecological paradise. You plant forests, cleanse soils and oceans, and allow nature to recover from mankind’s mistakes.
If you already have a Netlfix subscription, why not give it a try? Other arguments could be Tomb Raider Reloaded, Stranger Things 1984, Lucky Luna inspired by Japanese folklore or Exploding Kittens.
