“His flesh was eaten, which is strictly forbidden”

The Quimper prosecutor’s office announced that it had opened an investigation into these facts. The body of this dolphin had “been found in a trash can on rue Jeanne d’Arc in Tréboul”, a district of Douarnenez, on Monday May 1, according to the Sea Shepherd association, which posted a photo on Twitter on Wednesday.

“The way he was cut up leaves no doubt that his flesh was eaten, which is strictly prohibited. We are filing a complaint for mutilation of a protected species,” added the association. The Quimper prosecutor’s office had not received a complaint on Thursday.
