The Burgenland SPÖ state party leader and state governor Hans Peter Doskozil will advertise his candidacy as federal party chairman under the title “Friendship Tour” among party members.
The tour will take him to all federal states from next week, it is being planned by the organizational team around the former federal manager Max Lercher and state manager Roland Fürst, the APA said today. The appointments take place mainly on weekends, since his appointment calendar as governor is “full to bursting”.
“Dozens of Invitations”
“There have been dozens of invitations from all parts of Austria, and we are currently in the final planning stage,” says Lercher. The aim is for Doskozil to come into contact with as many members and officials in all federal states as possible in order to present his ideas – he had only recently published his program with a focus on minimum wage, care and free kindergarten.
The appointments should also take place on a small scale in order to get into direct contact with members. It starts next week in Lower Austria. Larger formats, in which Doskozil will put his projects up for discussion, are also planned, for example on April 23 in the Knittelfeld cultural center (Styria).
