Dove Attia: this drama that occurred on one of his musicals which brought him "traumatized"

In an interview at Parisian, Dove Attia recounted her worst memory from one of her famous musicals. The ex-juror of New star hasn’t forgotten anything ten years later.

It is becoming rarer in the media but no one has forgotten the jury role he held for several years in New star on M6. Program which also made him known to the general public. Since then, Dove Attia has multiplied his projects and recently, he granted an interview with our colleagues from Parisian. The 65-year-old producer talks about his new musical, Molière, urban opera and the premium event for the 20th anniversary of the New star in which he participated and which will be Aired Wednesday, February 15 and presented by Karine Le Marchand on M6.

Dove Attia “traumatized” by a tragedy that occurred during the musical 1789: the Lovers of the Bastille

In this interview at ParisianDove Attia also told his worst memory occurred during the famous musical, 1789, the lovers of the Bastille which he produced from 2012 to 2014. Indeed, during a performance at the Palais des Sports in Paris, an explosion of the pyrotechnic stock surfaced during rehearsals. Which led to the death of the technical director, Marcus Toledano. This incident remains a trauma for Dove Attia who has not returned to the Palais des Sports for ten years, still haunted by this drama: “I haven’t returned to it since the drama of “1789: the Lovers of the Bastille”, which cost the life of our technical director. It traumatized me. I accompanied him until the last moment. The survivor, “the Legend of King Arthur”, I had not created here. I couldn’t…“, he confided.

“I’ll never forget”

More than a bad memory, Dove Attia also recognized that the death of his collaborator also had consequences on his personal feelings: “Yes, I wanted to stop everything. It’s a trauma. It was very hard for everyone. It was life, an accident… He was our technical director, a technician who grew up with us and who had nothing to do with it, he just intervened to protect the teams… I’ll never forget.” A drama that will remain forever engraved for life for the former juror of the New star.
