The new ZDF doctor series “Dr. Nice” enjoys consistently positive reviews, which is why the broadcaster has already announced a sequel. Now actor Patrick Kalupa revealed how many episodes it is.
That could happen on the past Sundays ZDF heart cinema happy about excellent ratings: numerous viewers tuned in to the new doctor’s series “Dr. Nice”. In a video interview, actor Patrick Kalupa, who portrays the protagonist Dr. Moritz Neiss mimics that ZDF initially two more episodes has ordered. A shooting date has already been set: production of “Dr. Nice” is scheduled to continue in July. With good odds for the first two episodes, it could even be another part be pushed up. This should now be foreseeable, because the second episode “Old Wounds” followed all 5.38 million viewers.
It is also exciting that Patrick Kalupa was allowed to work on the screenplays himself. “Our producer Stefan Raiser had the idea of bringing us together with the authors at a very early stage and allowing our ideas and wishes to flow into especially for the third and fourth episode“, said the former “Alarm for Cobra 11” actor in an interview prism.
Patrick Kalupa hopes for many more parts of the ZDF series
Due to his arrogant nature, “Dr. Nice” often offends in the series – especially with his opponent Dr. Florian Schmidtke (Maximilian Grill). Nevertheless, actor Patrick Kalupa has taken his character to heart and appreciates it above all the development, which he completes in the course of the episodes. In the interview, he makes it clear that this is far from over for him: “hopefully there are many parts”. When there will be a reunion with “Dr. Nice” on the TV screen is still unclear.
