The drafts of new episode of the manga of Dragon Ball Super, #89, they were already leaked by the Shueisha people. They released the preview in gray, along with the information of the date on which the chapter will be released, which for now seems to be more focused on Trunks than any other character.
After #88 was released, which meant the return of the manga after the break at the end of the Granola arc, Toyotaro stated that the true protagonist of this saga will actually be Trunks.
It had been said that it would be a duet between Trunks and Goten. But, according to the top illustrator of Akira Toriyama’s work, although Goku’s youngest son will not be relegated, the main focus is on the heir to the Capsule Corporation.
What stands out from the drafts released late last week, however, have to do with the unfolding of Trunks’ story and his unbreakable bond with Gohan.
Gohan and Trunks: together in any reality
Trunks’ first introduction in Dragon Ball was in Z. A warrior from the future came to our reality to warn us about Androids. That fighter, son of Vegeta, developed an incredible relationship with Gohan, the only survivor of that first fight.
That seemed to have been lost in the last arc of Z and what follows in Super. But the new leaks have a detailed element that seems to show that there is an unbreakable bond between the two.
This is presumed because the life of teenage Trunks is exactly the same as Gohan’s, in the Majin Buu arc. The young man goes to school, socializes with friends and plays sports. The only difference is that Goku’s eldest son plays baseball and Vegeta’s eldest son plays basketball.
In addition, they have already begun to develop their relationship with Mai, to which they will surely make references like the one that happened between Videl and Gohan.
