In the Dragon Ball Super saga, Mai and Trunks have a romantic relationship that is accentuated in the alternate future of Vegeta and Bulma’s son.
During the “The Resurrection of F” saga, Trunks and Mai meet when he returns to the future to fight the androids and save his world. Mai helps Trunks, and as they fight together, they begin to develop feelings for each other.
