Step.- The El Paso Fire Department was named one of the Top 100 Fleets in North America for the second year in a row, jumping from 93rd to 74th in the prestigious rankings.

The 100 Best Fleets program, organized by the NAFA Fleet Management Association, recognizes leading fleet operations in North, Central and South America for their exceptional management practices, operational efficiencies, sustainability efforts and use of technology. Competition is fierce, with fleets from various industries vying for coveted spots on the list.

“The City is very proud of our Fire Department, particularly the department’s fleet team, for implementing innovative strategies to optimize fleet performance, reduce costs and improve sustainability,” said City Manager Tommy Gonzalez. “These efforts have resulted in improved operational efficiencies and service delivery, ensuring the department can maintain an ISO Class 1 rating, enabled the Fire Maintenance division to receive 5 Blue Seal Awards and an Honorable Mention since 2016 which guarantees that firefighting vehicles and equipment are well maintained and ready for emergencies at all times, reducing downtime and extending the useful life of our vehicles.”
