A man reported that he was the victim of death threats with a firearm by an acquaintance who claims that the victim stole a rooster that belonged to him. The event occurred on Wednesday night in the town of El Soberbio.

According to official sources, Mateo M. (28) reported to the Misiones Police that around 7:30 p.m. he had a call with a man he knows as Kaio, with whom he had previously worked as a laborer.

In the call, the latter asked him to go to kilometer 15, at the height of Paraje Arroyo Bonito, to talk about a business for a team of oxen.

Given this, the victim mentioned that he went to the place and once there, he met Kaio and another person who accompanied him.

The defendant pointed a weapon that would be a revolver at him, and forced him to get into his Toyota truck, taking him to Colonia Chafariz, on the banks of the Uruguay River.

In that place, they told him that they were going to kill him and throw him into the river if he did not return a fighting cock, which they accused the 28-year-old man of having stolen.

For this reason, the complainant mentioned to the police forces that in order for them to release him, he told them that he knew where the bird they were claiming was.

In view of the complaint, agents of the VIII Regional Unit, after inquiries, proceeded to delay Ricardo “Kaio” R. (53).

The intervening magistrate ordered that the search be carried out for the truck in which the defendant was traveling.

It also ordered the search of the detainee’s home to proceed with the seizure of the alleged firearm used.
