Released in September 2020, Marvel’s Avengers was timidly received by players, particularly because of its progress and strong monetization. Despite Crystal Dynamics’ efforts to rectify the situation and the many DLCs released, the game did not manage to attract attention and today we learn that its support has ended.
Marvel’s Avengers bows out
In a message posted on its site, the studio announces the cessation of support for Marvel’s Avengers. On September 30, 2023, the game will no longer be supported, but will remain playable in single player as well as multiplayer.
March 31 will also mark the release of update 2.8. This latest update aims to deliver the final balances and fixes to the game before support ends. Note, however, that there will be no new heroes available.
Update 2.8 will also mark the closure of the cosmetics market. At this time, Credits will no longer be purchasable and your remaining Credit balances will be converted into in-game resources to aid ongoing adventures. The table above details the resources that will be granted based on your credit balance.

In order to thank the players for the time invested in the game, the studio will give away all the cosmetics available from the store. From March 31, for example, you will be able to take advantage of costumes, takedowns and emoticons without having to pay a penny.
In addition, it was clarified that the DLC dedicated to Spider-Man will remain exclusive to PlayStation consoles.
To show our appreciation to our community, starting March 31, 2023, we will be making all in-game Marketplace cosmetic content, Challenge Cards, and Expeditions available to all players for free. Takedowns, Emotes and Market nameplates, Challenge Cards and Shipments will be free for all players from this date if you own a copy of the game.
If you don’t know the title, it is currently still available in the Xbox Game Pass and it will be possible to buy it on the Microsoft Store until September 30.
