Benjamin Stambouli’s adventure in the Turkish Süper Lig could extend beyond the end of the current season. Like our French partner editorial team Foot Market has found out, the 32-year-old defender has received an offer to extend his expiring contract.

The club from Turkey’s fifth-largest city only managed to get promoted to the Süper Lig last season. Coach Vincenzo Montella’s team is currently in fourth place and is on course to qualify for the European competition. Former Schalke player Stambouli is placed under Montella and mainly leads the team as captain.
