The family of young Travis Turner, shot to death on July 4 at a nightclub in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, asked for help finding the person responsible for his death.
Turner, 29, was celebrating with friends at the VYPZ nightclub, located on State Road 7 near Northwest 44th Street, when he was shot and killed, in an incident that also injured a woman, iLocal media report.
The young man was involved in an altercation that led to shots. Turner was struck and pronounced dead at the scene.
This Monday, in a public statement, the family shared their wish that the murderer of Turner, who had plans to become a father, be found and arrested.
“My brother had bought us tickets to go to my graduation and he had also bought me a dress. That dress he should have worn to my graduation. I used it for his funeral on Saturday, ”said Teffanie Turner, the young man’s younger sister, who has just finished studying psychology in Jamaica.
Broward County Police continue to investigate the crime.
