Hans Peter Geerdes (58) is HP Baxxter, frontman of the German electrical band Scooter. Vain, eccentric, but extremely successful for 30 years now. But eating cherries with the man is not always good, as a documentary now reveals.

Story: On March 22, 2020, the first lockdown breaks out. Annoyed, Baxxter gives an online concert. Visits to the hairdresser are sacred to him. His mother (82) talks about the beginnings. Baxxter appears in the drive-in cinema, celebrates parties and gets Corona.

Director Cordula Kablitz-Post (58) followed Baxxter and his band until April 2022. If you pay close attention, you can figure out why Michael Simon (50) and Sebastian Schilde (37) left the band at the end of 2022.

Conclusion: An extremely honest portrait that lets HP Baxxter shine on stage, but reveals the moods and quirks of the bleached star behind the scenes. The film also impressively captures the bizarre mood during the pandemic.
