Last season, his goals were instrumental in Eintracht Frankfurt winning the Europa League. Rafael Borré (27) is currently doing much worse. The Colombian has rarely been in the starting XI since the arrival of Randal Kolo Muani, which he doesn’t like at all.
Farewell rumors about the striker have been circulating for months. In an interview with ‘TyC Sports’ journalist Germán García Grova, Borré’s adviser Martin Araoz heated up the transfer issue again and shot against Eintracht on the side.
Advisor hands out
“Rafa feels uncomfortable in Germany”Grova quotes the agent, “Borré is not respected there.” Araoz’s aim is apparently not to place the Eintracht striker at Mexican first division side Tigres UANL, who have recently been linked with him, but to secure a return to River Plate. Borré moved to Frankfurt from the Buenos Aires club in 2021.
“River tried to borrow him”explains the advisor, “and he would welcome a return there. I also think it would be very good if he returned.” According to ‘Sport1’, however, Eintracht does not want to get involved. The SGE have already informed the Borré camp that a loan is out of the question.
The only option for Frankfurt is a permanent departure and only if a club offers at least twelve million euros. Borré is tied to Eintracht until 2025. In the current season he was on the pitch in 23 competitive games – mostly as a joker.
