The Prosecutor’s Office ratified the responsibility of the defendants for the femicide of Lucia Perez, the young woman who was sexually abused and murdered in October 2019 in the city of Mar del Plata; so that she claimed life imprisonment for the main defendant and 20 years for her co-author.

During the first day of allegations in the second femicide trial, prosecutor Leandro Arévalo argued that in the case it was proven that matias farias is the perpetrator criminally responsible for the facts and that Juan Pablo Offidani He was a secondary participant.

According to what was reported by the agency Argentine News (NA), Arévalo requested before the Oral Criminal Court No. 2, made up of judges Gustavo Fissore, Roberto Falcone and Alexis Simaz, the maximum sentence for Farías for being the perpetrator criminally responsible for the crime of sexual abuse aggravated by the consumption of narcotic drugs followed of death in ideal competition with femicide. At the same time, he questioned the actions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, assuring that “there was no direct or indirect presence of the MPF and that resulted in a loss of evidence.”

In his argument, the prosecutor pointed out that the body of the adolescent showed “clear signs of having been subjected to violent sexual relations” and that Farías took advantage of it by giving her “indeterminate amounts” of marijuana and cocaine. At the same time, he stated that his method when choosing potential clients consisted of “looking for girls”, with the clear intention of “satisfying her insatiable sexual appetite” for her.

As for Offidani, Arévalo indicated that “he was motivated by the same motive” and focused on the evidence found inside his phone where “high consumption of pornography” was found. In this context, the prosecutor mentioned that both “complemented each other” in this sense and argued that even “a photo of Lucía Pérez was found on her cell phone, despite the fact that she had never sent it to him.”

After the arguments of the Prosecutor’s Office, the Court issued a fourth intermission while they wait for the day, the arguments of the lawyers Veronica Heredia and Florencia Piermarinion behalf of the young woman’s family.
