Mixing genres can create some nice surprises. In music, take the case of the Swiss musical group Zeal & Ardor, which mixes modern black metal with the gospel roots of Black American slaves, or even Igorrr, the crazy project initiated by Gauthier Serre which combines baroque, breakcore and extreme metal. In gaming, the latest unlikely fusion is called God of Rock and marries the gameplay of a rhythm game with that of a fighting game. A real curiosity that deserved to dig deeper into the concept with the creative team.
