Mexico City.- The Film Library of the National Autonomous University of Mexico announced a film series characterized by the exhibition of films filmed by Guillermo del Toro as a celebration of the successes of the Mexican director.

Through a statement, the UNAM Film Library, in collaboration with Casa del Lago, will take over the exhibition of Del Toro’s films, recently named Doctor Honoris Causa by the Maximum House of Studies.

The film series will take place on Saturdays and Sundays in the Lumière room, located in Casa del Lago, in the Bosque de Chapultepec.

According to the information, the “Celebrating Guillermo del Toro” cycle will start on January 21 with the screening of the film Cronos (1993), which won 9 Ariel awards, including the Best Film and Best Director categories.

The screening of the three-Oscar award-winning film, El Laberinto del Fauno, which will arrive at the Lumière room on January 22, is also announced.

The following weekend they contemplate the tapes El Espinazo del Diablo and Mimic, the first has the production of Del Toro, while the second has a script by the Mexican.

The upcoming weeks schedule lists the movies Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, The Orphanage, and The Shape of Water.
